What to do in case of an auto accident.

Let's say you have just had the misfortune of being involved in an auto accident.  What should you do next?  Luther Collision & Glass is there to help you.  We offer convenient locations and hours, work with your insurance company, and provide 24 hour towing service.  We can even arrange alternative transportation to minimize your misfortune.  Here is a quick, step-by-step Accident Scene List to assist you.

1. Stay calm and check for injuries.  Call or have someone call 911 to notify emergency services.

2. If a vehicle is inoperable, call the toll-free 24-hour Luther Customer Care Center at 1-877-LUTHERS for roadside assistance.

3. Do not discuss the accident with anyone other than your customer service representative at Luther Collision & Glass, your insurance agent, or the police.

4. Cooperate with the police in their investigation of the accident.  Show your license, registration, and proof of insurance.

5. Fill in the accident form available for download here.  Record all the relevant information, e.g. weather, time of day, names of those involved in the accident, witnesses, and license numbers.

6. Notify your insurance company.

7. You have the right to choose the repair center of your choice.  It is recommended that you select a repair center that has industry-trained professionals, such as I-car or ASE certified repair technicians.
